This time last week I struggled with Day 1 of the third week in the Hundred Push Ups plan. Despite turning things around on Day 3, I decided the correct decision was to repeat Week 3 and pass with flying colors before proceeding to Week 4.
I was tempted to do the push ups after my 15 mile run this morning, but remembering how tough it was last week, decided to wait until early afternoon before attempting the challenge. Here’s how it went:
Required: 25, 17, 17, 15, at least 25
I won’t say I sailed through the push ups today, but it was so much easier than last week. The first 25 was fairly tough, but the 17, 17 and 15 were very comfortable. I allowed myself 70 seconds rest as I psyched myself up for the final set and managed to get to 25 without too much bother. I added on an extra three at the end for good measure and probably could have forced myself to 30 if required.
Actual: 25, 17, 17, 15, 28
So, 11 more than the same time last week, and it wasn’t as much of a struggle either. Looking forward to Day 2 and 3 now, so I can move on to Week 4 and the final couple of weeks…
It’s great to see the program works. Keep it up!
100 pushups in one workout… That’s a milestone, right?
It is for 2008, yes….
