The exhaustion test at the end of Week 5 put me in Column 2 for the sixth and final week of the Hundred Push Ups program.
Required: 50, 40, 36, 35 and at least 50
Looks tough huh? I thought so too and decided to perform the push ups before my run this afternoon to give myself every chance of success. I dreaded the first 50, but actually it went rather well. The 40 to follow was fine too, but I knew I was in trouble early on in the set of 36.
I managed to get through the 36 but really had no chance at all with the next set of 35; my arms just wouldn’t cooperate. I recovered somewhat on the final 50, but it was too late and I’ll repeating Week 6 again next week.
Actually I’m ok with this. I’m obviously not quite ready for the straight 100 and another week of training will certainly help the cause.
Actual: 50, 40, 36, 22, 30 [total = 178]
I think this program needs a few more weeks built into it!
You’re probably correct. I wonder how many people would go for a “100 push ups in 10 weeks” program?
