Nice short post to record my afternoon swim. Same distance as Wednesday evening (500m), but this time I did 5 x 50m followed by a straight 250m (with pull buoy of course).
Nothing spectacular, but it was nice to work through the 50m barrier and keep going for 5 consecutive laps. Early days for the Breezy Point Triathlon training, but definitely a positive swim…

I’ve entered a sprint triathlon at the end of May and am the type of “swimmer” that will need a couple of months to build up to a straight 1000m swim. Today’s swim was definitely out of necessity!
Yeah, I’ve seen you talking about the triathlon on twitter. You’ve inspired me to at least think about taking it to that level. I have my first 1/2 marathon coming up in a couple of weeks and if that goes well, I might think about attempting a 70.3. What a great feeling of accomplishment it must be to cross that finish line!
