2022 – another year with not much blogging action, but for the sake of getting things documented, here’s a quick summary of what I got up to this year.

2022 Races

  • Distance Series 10 Miler – 1:03:39 – 1st place 55-59

  • Distance Series 20 Miler – 2:12:42 – 1st place 55-59

  • Shamrock Marathon – 2:57:08 – 1st place 55-59
  • D3 50K – 3:58:28 – 2nd overall. Miserable conditions, but hamstring held out after straining it slightly at the One City Marathon.

Stats

Running: 2517 miles
Walking: 167 miles
Cycling (Peloton): 607 miles

Injuries/niggles

Not much to mention really.

  • March – slight hamstring strain after the One City Marathon. Recovered enough to do the Shamrock 8K/Marathon double, but probably did more damage than good and struggled for a few weeks leading up to the D3 50K.

Summary

All in all a satisfying year. No PRs, but happy with a couple of age group state records.
