Another 8 miles in the bank tonight, which brings my mileage total for the week to 30. The good thing is there are 3 days remaining and I have a long run still to come on Sunday.
With my next marathon just over a month away, I’m trying build my mileage, and aside from a little sluggishness, seem to handling the increase quite well.

With a 5k race to run on Saturday morning, I’ll probably only run 4 or 5 miles after work tomorrow, which hopefully will leave me fresh enough to put in a solid 5k performance. However, my priorities are such that I’m not really concerned about this weekend’s race and the bigger picture is the Frederick Marathon on May 4th. In fact, the main reason I’m racing the 5k is because it’s a Tidewater Strider Grand Prix race, with the Suffolk YMCA 5k being my 30th consecutive GP race – a streak stretching back to September 2005.
