Just relaxing at one of my favourite spots in Grand Cayman today – Rum Point. I’d rather be running (I love running around Rum Point) but the left thigh is still tender so another day of rest and recovery it is.
Not exactly sure what the thigh issue is. It’s not sore to touch, but there is minor discomfort when I walk, especially if I attempt to “stride out” a bit. Easy running was “okay” yesterday but the thought of running 26.2 miles at or just below 7:00/mile pace is a bit daunting right now.
I’ve tried ice, gentle massage with the trusty Addaday roller and even popped a couple of anti- inflammatory pills just in case they’ll help. Really hoping a few more days rest will do the trick, and I guess at this stage of the game I can’t do anything to help my fitness anyway.
