Managed a slow and steady 5 miler at Rum Point this morning. No real issues although I wasn’t confident enough to risk any strides or fast running. That’ll have to wait until race morning I’m afraid. I’ll still continue with the ice and self-massage on the thigh, but in terms of running, I’ve pretty much done all I can before Sunday’s marathon.
The Cayman Marathon has been good to me over the years, and I feel fortunate to have been able to take part every year since 2009. Not sure how long I can keep the streak going, but hopefully on Sunday it will be nine in a row, with number 10 coming in 2018. We’ll see..
