Had a few chores around the house to do after work, so decided to just take a leisurely run on the treadmill tonight. I chose one of the pre-programmed random workouts, popped in a “Ministry Of Sound” CD and off I went. Usually I get bored after 30 minutes on the belt, but tonight it was just nice to jog along and follow the speeds and inclines of the pre-programmed workout.
I decided to stop after an hour and am happy to report my legs felt much better than last night. I think I just needed the extra day to recover (age is a wonderful thing!) and now I seem to be back to normal. This week my mileage can drop somewhat, which will allow me the recovery time necessary to increase the mileage again next week – definitely up to the mid-40s and hopefully a rare 50 miler! We’ll see…
